¡Buenas tardes!
¿Qué tal? ¿Cómo llevas los retos anteriores? (How are you doing with the previous challenges?) Estoy deseando que me cuentes tus avances (I'm looking forward to hear about your advances!) :-) Are you ok with this "challenge" intensity? Do you have any special interest to go through during the following days? Please, let me know you feel with this!
I'm bringing today a verbal challenge to work on basic questions! What else we need to practice questions? Verbs!
So, I think I might have introduced at some point there are 3 conjugations in Spanish (if not, I'm doing it now :-)):
1st conjugation: Verbs ending in -ar: amar, hablar, pensar, follar, bailar, cantar, tocar...
2nd conjugation: Verbs ending in -er: beber, comer, volver...
3rd conjugation: Verbs ending in -ir: vivir, escribir, debatir...
All (regular) verbs falling into the same group will share a pattern to be conjugated.
So... what am I suggesting Andy to do on Day 7?
- Try to guess the meaning of the verbs provided earlier (look up them in a dictionary if you can't figure them out) and choose a few (4-5?) (or any other if you know/feel like looking for them)
- Conjugate the selected ones in the present indicative (https://www.spanishdict.com/guide/spanish-present-tense-forms)
- Prepare a list of 5-6 questions in this tense. Bear in mind that the only thing you have to do is to add the question marks, the verb form doesn't change. Furthermore, if the subject can be inferred, we won't use the subject (ex: To ask where do you live? we wouldn't say "¿dónde vives tú?" but "¿dónde vives?")
- Let me know when you are ready to have a short conversation using your questions. I might ask you a few simple questions too so that you can practice your listening skills.
Esto es todo por hoy, ¡ánimo, guapo!
