¿Cómo estás? Espero que muy bien. Hoy vamos a trabajar la familia (Today we are going to work the family)

This is a brief video in which they show us Manuel's family. Watch it and pay attention to the vocabulary to talk about the family :-)

1st. Take notes about the vocabulary you need to talk about the family.

2nd. Try to draw my family tree following the text (you can find it in English later in case you can't do it)

3rd. Try to write a similar text talking about Andy's family


"Soy Evelia. Mis padres se llaman Juan y Evelia. Tengo (I have) dos hermanos: Juan y Julio, pero Julio es solo hijo de mi padre, no de mi madre. Los padres de mi padre eran (were) José y Juana. José y Juana tienen (have) dos hijos: mi padre y mi tía Pepa. Mi tía Pepa tiene (has) una hija, mi prima Leticia. Por otra parte, los padres de mi madre eran (were) Pepe y Pepa. Ellos tienen (have) tres hijos: mi madre, mi tía Loles y mi tío Mani. Mi tía Loles tiene (has)  dos hijas: mi prima Marta y mi prima Lucía. Mi tío Mani tiene (has) dos hijos: mi primo Álvaro y mi prima Carmen."

(I am Evelia. My parents' names are Juan and Evelia. I have two brothers: Juan and Julio, but Juan is only my father's son, not my mum's. My father's parents were José and Juana. José and Juana have two children: my father and my aunt Pepa. My aunt Pepa has a daughter, my cousin Leticia. On the other hand, my mother's parents were Pepe and Pepa. They have three children: my mother, my aunt Loles and my uncle Mani. My aunt Loles have two children: my cousin Marta and my cousin Lucía. My uncle Mani has two children: my cousin Álvaro and my cousin Carmen"
